All skaters can improve their skills and we excited to bring a range of bootcamp-skill sessions that will work on:

– Skating Skills

– Blocker Drills

– Jammer Drills

One of the BEST things about Roller Derby are the friends you make along the way.

You’re going to have a whole lot of FUN, guaranteed, throughout the bootcamp sessions and the games

GAMES

Games a-plenty are in the schedule over the weekend.

We will have a minimum of two games per level available across the two days.

Level 1

Bootcamp Sessions & Games suitable for Level 1 Skaters

Skaters must have passed minimum skills and be able to skate safely.

They will be put into a Level 1 game.

‘Level 1’ is also known as a white star (working towards yellow star), or skating at a Red Level.

Their games will be in ‘4-walls’ with positional blocking allowed

Level 2

Bootcamp Sessions & Games suitable for Level 2 Skaters

Skaters must have passed minimum skills and be able to skate safely and be CLEARED TO SKATE IN A MOD-CONTACT ruleset

They will be put into a Level 2 game where they will be skating in tripods.

Level 2 is also known as a yellow-orange star and perhaps about to start skating in modified contact games / Amber level games.

Level 3

Bootcamp Sessions & Games suitable for Level 3 Skaters

Skaters must be cleared to skate at a Full Contact Level

Level 3 is also known as participating at a full contact / green star level. (This could be a skater who is at an Orange-star level working towards their Green-star)

Australia Roller Derby Incorporated (AUSRD) & Australia Junior Roller Derb Incorporated (AUSJRD) is a not-for-profit, incorporated organisation dedicated to bringing the national roller derby community together through inclusive, empowering, and high-quality events for both junior and adult participants.

Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for connection, development, and celebration across all levels of the sport, from grassroots to experienced skaters, from first-time officials to seasoned bench staff.

AUSRD (Australia Roller Derby Inc) supports the adult community through national tournaments, training events, and collaborative programs that elevate the game while fostering respect, diversity, and a strong sense of belonging.

AUSJRD (Australia Junior Roller Derby Inc), our junior-focused arm, is devoted to empowering the next generation of skaters by creating safe, fun, and skill-building experiences that boost confidence, connection, and community spirit. We believe junior skaters deserve powerful pathways to grow both on and off the track and we’re here to help create them.

Together, AUSRD and AUSJRD are building a connected, inclusive, and thriving future for roller derby in Australia, one event at a time.
